TOWN BOSS ON HIS COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Reece Staunton savour the win over Cheltenham
(JON CORKEN)
COACHING the principles is the most important thing for David Artell to stay on top of as Grimsby Town's head coach as the season rolls on.
It is the principles of play that have got the Mariners to where they are now, as one of the top teams in League Two after the first ten fixtures, with better chance creation statistics than anyone in the fourth tier.
Fresh off a seven-goal victory over Cheltenham, Town are back to work on the training field, striving for further development, as is the message passed down by Artell and his coaching staff every day.
There are specific areas to improve upon from the previous matches and to prepare for upcoming opponents, but the overall message remains the same.
Artell said: "It's about making everyone better, so it's all about our principles.
"The principles we focus on each week depend on the recent games we've played and what is coming up.
