Council 'can't carry on financing idiots' setting fire to plastic toilets

A SENIOR councillor has reiterated talks have taken place to plan toilet provision for next year's peak season in Cleethorpes.

But he warned the council cannot continue to cover indefinitely the costs of vandalism to portaloos.

Temporary public toilets were withdrawn a week early at the start of September from Dolphin Gardens, Cleethorpes. This led to a political argument over toilet facilities for the town, particularly its all-important seafront.

The matter was re-raised at the latest full council meeting, with an eye on next year's peak season for the resort.
