Music centre bolsters founding team with milestone appointment

The National Centre for Music has made its first senior management appointment, with Ben Schogler joining the organisation as Director of Partnerships.

Located in the former Royal High School on Edinburgh's Calton Hill, the venue is scheduled to open late next year, as work continues to transform the landmark into a major cultural hub for music performance, education and collaboration.

Ben, who holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology, will help to shape the frameworks and relationships that will form the foundations of the new musical hub in his home city.

Having begun his musical journey in Edinburgh's hip hop, jazz and club scenes, he went on to co-found Skoogmusic Ltd with Dr David Skulina as part of a NESTA research team focused on making music more inclusive.
