'We swapped Pride Park for Cyprus where we found our dream home'

A WELL-known couple from Derby have swapped Pride Park for sunny Cyprus after finding their dream home.

David and Skevy Meredith ran the healthy eatery Mezzo in Pride Park for three years before selling up and moving to Cyprus.

The couple recently appeared on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, where they struggled to find their ideal property.

Fast-forward three years and the couple are happily living in a property on the Mediterranean island after they extended their search in the wake of their time on the show.

"We went on the show in the Easter week of 2023 with the intent of finding a holiday home," said Mr Meredith.

"Our main objective on the show was to get more of an insight into the southwest of the island, and, even though we did not end up buying a property, we did find the area we wanted to be in - Venus Rock."
