ATTACKER SPOTTED HIS VICTIM AT MCDONALD'S

- By ZENA HAWLEY

A MAN who followed a young woman out of a Derby fast-food restaurant and attempted to rape her has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Ivan Godla initially denied a charge of attempted rape but later admitted it on the day of trial, in May this year, having previously pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and sexual exposure.

Godla, 24, of Leacroft Road, Derby, spotted the woman in the McDonald's restaurant in Osmaston Park Road on November 19 last year.

He followed her along Portland Street before trying to speak to her and exposing himself.
