WANTED MEN Gangsters Ross McGill and Steven Lyons. And how we covered the story of their weekend arrests

AN ex-top cop who snared cocaine kingpin “The Iceman” says the net is closing on two of Scotland's major hoods following their arrest in the Middle East.

Lyons family crime boss Steven Lyons and former Rangers Ultras leader Ross McGill are reported to have been held at the weekend, having spent the last six months travelling between Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar. A female friend of McGill's is also said to have been arrested.

It is expected that the Scots authorities will seek to have them returned to Scotland.

But former director-general of the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency Graeme Pearson, who nailed Jamie “Iceman” Stevenson, says tough measures - such as seizing the gangsters' passports - are what is needed to stop other high-profile suspects leaving Scotland.
