Strach: Ban visiting fans now. Coisty fury at disaster taunts
OLD FIRM legends Gordon Strachan and Ally McCoist last night slammed the 'diabolical' scenes which marred Sunday's Scottish Cup derby.
Chaos erupted after Celtic fans ran on the pitch to hail Tomas Cvancara's winning shootout penalty. Rangers supporters reacted and confronted their rivals on the Ibrox pitch sparking ugly scenes beamed across the world on live TV A 10-year-old child was also struck by a coin during the chaos and nine people have so far been arrested.
Former Parkhead boss Strachan insisted the ban on away fans at the fixture should be reintroduced.
He said: "It's great to see two different sets of colours in the ground during an Old Firm game - but is it really worth it? Is it worth it for the scenes we see during and after the game? "You're never going to change the animosity of the fans for each other there's a real nastiness about it all.
