Scot Shannon one of five women sharing their stories of being targeted by dating app conman
A WOMAN has told of her ordeal at the hands of notorious Tinder Swindler Christopher Harkins ahead of a new TV documentary.
Last year Harkins was convicted of 19 offences including rape, assault, threatening and abusive behaviour, and charges of defrauding nine women out of more than £214,000.
The 37-year-old, from Newlands, Glasgow, is serving a 12-year sentence.
One of his victims was 40-year-old recruitment manager Shannon McKechnie, from Glasgow, who he met on the dating app.
She was impressed by his online profile in 2019 which showed a good looking man appearing to lead a luxury lifestyle.
When they met in person after a few weeks Shannon was further impressed.
She said: "We matched on both enjoying going out for nice dinners and holidays. He showed me pictures of himself doing those."
