Northern Lights to dazzle Wales after solar storm

SOLAR storms are set to activate the Northern Lights as far south as Mid Wales over the coming nights. In the right conditions, it might be possible to see the displays with the naked eye, said the Met Office.

Two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) erupted from the Sun just hours apart over the weekend and are heading towards the Earth.
The second and larger of these flares is expected to catch up and engulf the first just before they reach our atmosphere.
