A NIGHT of drama from the very start ended with both PSG and Newcastle in the play-off round - when they looked like they would be making it into the top eight.

It did not take the game long to explode or should that be implode for Newcastle?

Within the first 45 seconds, PSG attacked down the left through Bradley Barcola.

The ball looped up off Sven Botman, but Barcola appeared to nudge the ball towards Lewis Miley, who wafted his hand in the direction of the ball.

After a monitor check by Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic, he pointed to the spot.

But as Ousmane Dembele stepped up and placed it to the right, Nick Pope guessed the correct way and beat the ball out.
