Teacher jailed for having sex with pupil 15, banned from classroom for life

A SUPPLY teacher jailed for seducing a 15-year-old pupil has been told she will never enter a classroom again.

A watchdog said Kandice Barber demonstrated a "callous and selfish disregard" for the boy's wellbeing and the public "would rightly be appalled by her behaviour".

Barber, now 38, was sent to prison for six years and two months in 2021 for grooming the lad and having sex with him in a field.

A Teaching Regulation Agency panel said that during the fling, Barber bombarded the pupil with topless photos and explicit messages including: "Do you like boobs or bum?" In another, during a school day, she told him: "You cannot make me blush while I am teaching now, poker face lol." Barber also sent the pupil a photo of herself on a bed surrounded by sex toys.
