Lionesses keep their cool beating Sweden for a place in semis
THE Lionesses roared with relief after beating Sweden in a lengthy penalty shootout.
England's aces let off steam in their dressing room having reached the Euro 2025 football semifinals.
Heroines included defender Lucy Bronze, 33, who hit the winning spot kick, and the goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, 24, who let in just two of seven penalties.
Champs England had looked to be heading out at 0-2 down after just 25 minutes. But second-half strikes from Bronze and Lionesses supersub Michelle Agyemang, 19, took the game in Zurich to extra time before England won 3-2 on penalties.
