Last week we were told trees could talk, although it turned out not to mean “talk” in the traditional sense. It really just meant they made noises, albeit noises of some importance to the tree community.

Tonight we're being told trees can walk. But it turns out that’s not strictly true either.

It’s just as well this episode is the last in the series, or heaven only knows what they'd be telling us next. That trees can yodel? That trees can ride bicycles? That trees can cook you a tasty tikka masala? I fear it might start getting somewhat silly.

But anyway, yes, let’s look at this so-called “walking” business.
