CHRIS WILDER knew his Sheffield United side would hit the play-offs in top gear after their top-two bid came crashing to a halt last month.

- By Ian Winrow

The loss at Burnley meant Wilder’s men were forced to look on as the Clarets celebrated automatic promotion while knowing the Blades would finish third.

But their manager could tell from his players' reaction in the dressing room at Turf Moor they would not slip up a second time.

They took a huge step towards booking a Wembley showdown against Coventry or Sunderland when they won Thursday's semi-final first leg at Bristol City 3-0.

But Wilder, right, warned there can be no room for complacency ahead of Monday's return leg.

The Blades manager said: “I saw a glint in the eye after the Burnley game, really focused, ready for this.
