Bondi Beach gunmen 'meticulously planned attack for many months'

A VIDEO found on the surviving Bondi Beach suspect’s phone reveals the gunmen spent months carefully planning their savage shooting spree, police say.

Court documents, previously suppressed but now made public, reveal a police description of the footage in which New South Wales officers say Naveed and Sajid Akram “meticulously planned this terrorist attack for many months”.

The police statement says the video begins with Naveed and Sajid Akram reciting passages from the Koran.

It adds of the video: “[The two men] make a number of statements regarding their motivation for the ‘Bondi attack’ and condemning the acts of ‘Zionists’.

Unthinkable

“In this video, the accused and [his father] recite their political and religious views and appear to summarise their justification for the Bondi terrorist attack.”

Sajid, 50, was shot dead by police during the attack on December 14 — the start of Jewish festival Hanukkah.

Naveed was shot by police too and badly injured, but survived.
