US paedophile controlled teen, told her what to wear and watched her as she slept

A PAEDOPHILE from the USA sexually abused a girl from South Wales over the internet and controlled every aspect of her life.
He became obsessed with her and flew to Wales to meet her but he was detained by authorities who found him in possession of knives and a cosh.
Jacob Ewing, 44, began speaking to his victim, who was from Caerphilly county borough, when she was just 15 and pressured her into filming herself carrying out sexual acts.
He would also tell her what to wear, what to eat and made her film herself on a livestream to his device while she was asleep.
A sentencing hearing at Newport Crown Court heard the victim began speaking to Ewing, from North Carolina, over a chat site called Emerald and he told her he was a paedophile hunter and a Christian.
He pressured her into giving him her Snapchat details and they began speaking over that platform. They quickly began speaking over video calls, and the defendant asked the victim to keep the video running as they slept that night.
The next morning, he told her he had masturbated while she slept and could see her. This disturbed the victim and she didn't know whether to believe him.
Ewing bombarded the victim with text messages and he asked her to be his girlfriend. The victim refused, knowing how old the defendant was, but later relented after he pestered her.
Prosecutor Ieuan Bennett said the “power balance” in the relationship changed and he would shout and scream at the victim.
The conversation began to turn sexual with Ewing asking the victim what clothes she was wearing and he would tell her to change.
He also instructed her to take her phone with her while she was connected to a livestream to his device, so he could see what she was doing.
She began to realise the defendant was controlling her and she was being manipulated.
The victim wanted to end the relationship but he would make her feel guilty, saying he had “morals and principles”.
