THE Springboks and the All Blacks will complete this year’s “Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry” tour in the American city of Baltimore, a world away from South Africa and New Zealand.

There are multifaceted reasons for the fierce rivals playing a match in the US, and the pros appear to outweigh the cons.
The cynical amongst us will point to a moneymaking exercise, with both teams earning a significant amount of foreign currency, the waning strength of the US dollar notwithstanding. The match is to be played in a 71 000-seater stadium that is home to the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, and tickets priced in dollars are sure to sell out.
