'Jay Fai' eatery faces probe for alleged overcharging

The Department of Internal Trade (DIT) will look into whether the Michelin-starred Raan Jay Fai eatery in Bangkok illegally overcharged a customer by 2,500 baht for its famed crab omelette.

The case came to light when prominent YouTuber Peachii, who has 1.6 million followers, shared her experience online, insisting she had not ordered any special menu item and was not informed in advance of the price increase.
The YouTuber was expecting the price to be 1,500 baht, not the 4,000 baht as allegedly billed.
