Olly Rix can't wait for us to meet his Casualty character: charming but complicated Army medic Flynn Byron.

'I've been so busy filming scenes in Cardiff for the past nine months, I'd almost forgotten this was going out on TV!" smiles the actor, 40, in an exclusive chat with TV Times. 'It's nice to finally talk about it." Olly's much-anticipated debut in the BBC1 medical drama this week coincides with the launch of the show's latest miniseries, 12part story Internal Affairs. The plot sees Flynn preparing for a dangerous mission abroad when destiny diverts him to Holby City Hospital, eventually resulting in his appointment as the ED's new clinical lead.
