Having drawn Amy Barlow into ‘self-improvement group’ the Altovalent Institute, Leanne Battersby witnesses the distressing fallout this week as Amy undergoes a harrowing cult ritual.

Leanne fell under the spell of charismatic Institute cult leader Rowan Cunliffe earlier this year. Totally hoodwinking Leanne and distancing her from her man Nick and sister Toyah, Rowan got her into ‘uploading’ – a process that saw her relive her deepest traumas – and encouraged her to communicate with a creepy AI version of her late son Oliver.
