With the eighth and final run of Outlander still to hit our screens, Outlander: Blood of My Blood tells the love story of Jamie’s parents Ellen and Brian in the Scottish Highlands of the 1700s, alongside that of Claire’s father and mother, Henry and Julia Beauchamp, who meet during World War One.

The original Outlander, which is based on the bestselling series of novels by US author Diana Gabaldon, saw Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) fall in love after the former British Army nurse was transported from 1945 to 1743 via a circle of standing stones while she was on holiday in Scotland.
