Two-time Oscar-winner Denzel Washington reunites with his longtime collaborator, director Spike Lee, to play a New York music mogul facing personal and professional crises in one-off thriller Highest 2 Lowest.

The Glory and Training Day star portrays successful record-label boss David King. Once noted for having 'the best ears in the business,' David has hit a low and is on the verge of gambling his entire fortune to retain control of his iconic yet failing Stackin' Hits label when he and his wife, Pam (Ilfenesh Hadera), receive a phone call saying their son Trey has been abducted.

‘There were many times during filming that I was surprised watching Denzel in front of the cameras,’ reveals Lee, 68, who has worked with Washington on several movies including Malcolm X and Inside Man. ‘He’s so open to improv and lifting scenes up. Not many people can do that – only the giants.’
