Here’s the mark of a bona fide leading man: Although Matthew McConaughey hasn’t top-lined a live-action film since 2019, he can still summon movie star magnetism in an instant and then credibly save the day. That the white-knuckle thriller The Lost Bus (Apple TV+, Oct. 3) is based on an incredible true story from the 2018 Camp Fire makes the endeavor all the more worthwhile.
