Even leading lady Connie Britton was afraid shooting the horror film Here After. “I really had to go to some dark places,” she says, “and some of that meant shooting in water, which was personally scary for me.” Britton — who’s also on the big screen in the comedy Winner — faced her fears to play mom-on-the-edge Claire. After a terrible accident, her daughter, Robin (Freya Hannan-Mills), comes out alive, but “[she] brought someone back with her from the other side,” Claire says. In a word: possessed. Here, Britton, 57, takes Us to the Here After, now in theaters and on demand.
