In recent years, cricketers from small towns have started to make it big in international cricket. The IPL has enabled youngsters from remote areas of India to give wider wings to their dreams. Of late, Jharkhand, which did not possess any cricketing culture till a few years back is also making its presence felt in Indian cricket. There is no bigger and grander example than the legendary MS Dhoni, who was born in Ranchi in Jharkhand. Apart from Dhoni, Varun Aaron and Shahbaz Nadeem are the only other players from Jharkhand to have represented India in Tests. Cricket Academy of Pathans in Jharkhand is one of the many academies run by the Pathan brothers - Irfan and Yusuf - under the organisation CAP. The website of CAP states that the idea of the institute was born out of a simple thought of 'giving back' and revolutionise the standards of coaching and development of cricket in India. Greg Chappell is among the chief mentors of CAP.
