Taylor Swift’s drawn-out court case against former radio DJ David Mueller finally got under way on August 7, following her allegation that he groped her backstage during a pre-show meet-and-greet at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado on June 2, 2013.

With her mum Andrea by her side for support, Tay attended the initial hearing at a Denver courthouse, where a jury for the civil trial was selected, and lawyers for each party gave their opening statements.

David, 55, denies Tay’s allegation and is seeking $3.8 million for lost earnings, claiming that the accusation cost him his job.
