Kristin Cavallari may have had an ideal life on paper, but underneath the surface things weren’t as picture-perfect as she made them out to be. And now the Very Cavallari star has announced she’s getting a divorce from hubby Jay Cutler, the, er, reality of her marriage is being laid bare.

Just days after the pair revealed their relationship had reached a “loving conclusion” after a decade together, their “amicable” split turned explosive when Kristin, 33, accused Jay, 37, of “inappropriate marital conduct” in her divorce filing.

“Kristin liked to present this perfect image to the world – that she had everything,” explains an insider. “Call it an eerie similarity to her reality TV beginnings because absolutely nothing about her marriage to Jay was what it seemed.”

The former couple had been plagued by infidelity rumors in recent months, with Jay allegedly cheating on Kristin with her best friend Kelly Henderson. But pals say that was just the tip of the iceberg in the demise of their seven-year-marriage.
