Rolls-Royce delivers 1000th Derby-made Trent XWB–84

Engineering giant Rolls-Royce has delivered its 1,000th Trent XWB–84 engine from its Derby production line. The engine, which was designed, developed and manufactured at the firm's civil aerospace division in Sinfin, will be used to power an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Rolls-Royce said the XWB-84 is the world’s most efficient aero engine in service, and is the latest in the Trent family to reach the production milestone, doing so faster than any of its predecessors.
