In Donald J Bodwells words, High Performance Teams are highly adaptive, difficult to build, expensive to maintain and glorious to behold. While the journey to high performance is an ongoing one, this issue of
Perfect Professional takes you behind the scenes to bring clarity and understanding into what constitutes high performing teams, what works and what doesn’t. We seek to answer fundamental questions of whether ‘teamwork’ is something that we are naturally tuned into or does it need to be consciously developed. Is the term ‘High Performance Team’ explicitly defined and understood or is it still an implied phenomenon? Are organizations making them a priority? We attempt to decode some of these mysteries and look at what organizations and individuals can do, to create and sustain high performing teams. Lone geniuses are out.

The organization, the leadership team and HR-each has their own role to play in creating and nurturing high performing teams. This is the focus in our theme based articles.
