Education, as a social institution, plays a vital role in our society and society in turn plays an instrumental role in the development of the education system and its structuring. It is the socialisation of the younger generation, transmission of social heritage & culture of a group to the next generation and a continuous process of knowledge acquisition.
According to Prof. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, “Education should be imparted with a view to the type of society we wish to build. It is an endless journey through knowledge and enlightenment. Such a journey opens new vistas of development of humanism where there is neither scope nor room for pettiness, disharmony, jealousy, hatred or enmity. It transforms a human being into a wholesome whole, a noble soul and an asset to the universe.”
