Despite living in Dubai for seven years, the idea of a “winter wonderland” still conjures images of snowfall and twinkling Christmas lights. However, our special “Luxe Christmas” (page 88) section is a snapshot of holiday highlights from various corners of the world, offering an eclectic range of inspiration for your end-of-year getaways. Just see if you can spot Santa on a jet ski.
And of course this month’s cover story is the Address Montgomerie (page 62), where I had the good fortune of spending a staycation weekend away from the buzz of the city. I would say that I was able to work on my swing, but ended up blessing the groundskeeper with some overtime. It’s a hotel par excellence (pun intended), and Emaar has done a sterling job of refreshing the rooms and public spaces.
So we hope you enjoy the final issue of 2018. If you’re going to make any resolutions for 2019, make sure they include ticking off some fabulous travel destinations – and we’ll do our best to keep providing inspiration. Safe travels, and have a very happy and peace-filled Christmas & New Year.
