Our story about the swell (pun intended) of surfing in the Indian Ocean features Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort and Niyama Private Islands Maldives, where the conditions are often magnificent, but some of the accommodations a little out of reach for travellers on a budget. A little closer to home, we also celebrate a relative newcomer to Dubai’s incredible array of luxury hotels. FIVE Palm Jumeirah blows out one candle this month and certainly seems to have kept momentum, operating at full occupancy during my recent staycation, written up on page 50. Elsewhere in the issue, we get behind the wheel of another stunning supercar as our in-house petrol head Kris Karacinski embarks on a conflicted love affair with the new Lamborghini Aventador S.
