From capturing hearts at the height of the '90s boy-band frenzy to opening for Michael Jackson on his History world tour, the Human Nature boys – Toby Allen, 52, Phil Burton, 51, and brothers, Andrew, 51, and Michael Tierney, 49 – have had one hell of a run in the music biz, both locally and across the globe. But nothing was bigger than their record-breaking, 16-year Motown residency in Las Vegas, cementing their status as one of the Strip's all-time most successful and longest-running acts. Now, as the quartet prepare to reunite on Australian soil to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game-changing Reach Out: The Motown Record, the talented foursome sat down with Woman's Day for a fun chat about fame, friendship, getting older, and why coming home feels like the biggest win of all.

Twenty years on, could you have ever predicted the huge impact The Motown Record would have on your career?

TOBY Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought that it would send us on the journey that it has.

MIKE I don't think we could have known how much it would become such a major part of our career. We knew the music was great, but to have it connect with people in such a big way was really a surprise.
