The GMB host has suffered another blow as she continues to deal with her debt

Finances have been front and centre of Kate Garraway's issues for a few years, particularly since the death of her husband Derek Draper in January 2024 at the age of just 56. Now, it's been revealed that the Good Morning Britain presenter is more in the red than initially reported.

While she owes £800,000 following the care needed for her late partner, and tax owed by his company, it's been revealed her own business is almost £300,000 in debt. Accounts filed for 2024 showed Praespero 100 Ltd, which is responsible for her radio, TV and management consultancy work, owed a total of £288,122. In 2022, it was £36,888 in the black.

Kate, 58, recently sold a three-bedroom second home she owned in London in a bid to pay off some of the debt. However, rumours that she would have to sell the Muswell Hill home in which she brought up her children with Derek - Darcey, 19, and Billy, 16 – came to nothing.
