Kev hasn't set the bar too high for his New Year's resolutions!
I don’t think I’ve ever kept a New Year’s resolution. But they’re fun to talk about. It occurs to me that it’s difficult keeping New Year’s resolutions because we make them too challenging. We are but humble humans after all. So this year, I’m making lots of worthy resolutions and ensuring each is achievable. Here we go:
This year, I resolve not to squash ants that walk across my desk. How pointless is it anyway? You squash one ant and there are another fifty-thousand waiting under the floorboards. Besides, I’m developing a Buddhist-like attitude to taking life. What’s the difference between killing an elephant and killing an ant? They’re equally magnificent creatures. And it’s no easier to restore life to an ant as an elephant.
