|November 08, 2025
DJI has officially launched the Osmo Mobile 8 in the United States, the latest iteration of its popular smartphone gimbal line designed for creators, vloggers, and mobile filmmakers.
-
The new model introduces an upgraded stabilization system, enhanced Al subject tracking, and an overhauled control interface aimed at making professional-grade mobile videography more accessible than ever.
The Osmo Mobile 8 succeeds the Osmo Mobile 6, bringing a refined balance of portability and performance. With a redesigned folding mechanism, lighter frame, and intelligent software integration, DJI continues to consolidate its dominance in the consumer gimbal market while expanding the device's creative potential through deeper AI integration.
NEW DESIGN AND HARDWARE IMPROVEMENTSThe Osmo Mobile 8 features a slimmer magnesium-alloy arm that reduces weight while improving rigidity, ensuring smoother operation during rapid camera movements. DJI engineers reworked the gimbal motors for quieter performance and higher torque, delivering greater stability even when supporting larger phones with external lenses or accessories.
The gimbal's three-axis stabilization system has been fine-tuned to respond faster to subtle hand movements, allowing for steadier footage during walking shots and complex pans. DJI also improved the ActiveTrack 7.0 algorithm, which leverages onboard AI to predict subject motion and maintain lock even when the subject briefly leaves the frame or moves behind obstacles.
