iPhone 16 Pro

Like clockwork, Apple's iPhone 16 Pro hit shelves in September 2024, and rightfully dethroned Samsung's spot at the top of this list.

That all has to do with the Pro's larger-than-usual 6.3in LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED, the A18 Pro SoC, and of course, the best camera tech in the biz, bolstered by a whole new dedicated camera control that became second nature quickly. The big thing this year - Apple Intelligence - arrived after the fact through the iOS 18.1 beta, all but confirming that it was Apple's hardware deserving the praise this year.
