Google has introduced a new wave of artificial intelligence updates centered on Gemini Omni, a natively multimodal model designed to generate content from virtually any input.

The announcement also signals the company's move toward a more proactive, personal AI assistant integrated across its ecosystem.

The updates span consumer apps, creative tools, and developer platforms, reflecting a broader strategy to embed AI deeper into everyday workflows.

At the core of the announcement is Gemini Omni, a system built to process and generate content across text, images, audio, and video within a unified model. Unlike earlier approaches that combined separate systems, Omni is designed to handle multiple formats natively.

This allows users to move between different types of content without switching tools. A single prompt can generate visuals, modify scenes, or produce video outputs, with each action building on previous inputs.

Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, described the model as a step toward more general-purpose AI systems, emphasizing its ability to simulate real-world elements such as motion and physical behavior in generated content.

FLASH VERSION AND REAL-TIME EDITING

Google has launched Gemini Omni Flash for paid users in the Gemini app and within its Google Flow platform. This version focuses on speed and interactivity, enabling conversational editing workflows.

Users can iteratively refine content, with each instruction modifying the previous output. For example, a generated scene can be adjusted step by step, changing lighting, composition, or motion without restarting the process.

The system also introduces the ability to create digital avatars and dynamic media, expanding the range of outputs beyond static content.
