The Olympic gold medallist and former world champion reveals the recipe behind her sprinting success

WATT WORKS FOR ME SOPHIE CAPEWELL

What are your favourite training sessions?

I love a skills session, which is not always everyone's favourite thing, but we get to play on the track and that's quite fun. We practise riding high and slow, observation and track stands, then we move on to doing it in pairs, with drills that replicate sprint tactics.

What's the best training advice you've ever received?

If you can form exercise routines and habits, they become automatic, and then you don't have to think about them.

How much gym work do you do?

Either two or three sessions a week of around two hours each.
