Defending champion Cameron Jeffers, Paralympic gold medallist Jaco van Gass and Saint Piran duo the Mazzone brothers, headline the list of contenders for the Eddie Soens title on Saturday.

The Soens, which celebrates its 61st edition in 2023, has for many years been run as a handicap race, with the slowest riders off first and then ever-faster groups set off at intervals until the elite racers start last.
