January 2024

Nikon has introduced the latest addition to its esteemed PF lens lineup, the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S.

Nikon debuts compact 600mm lens

Catering to the needs of wildlife, aviation, and motorsport photographers, this S-Line prime lens offers impressive reach in a compact and lightweight design. Designed for spontaneous versatility and fast, precise focus, the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S stands out as the lightest in its class, weighing approximately 1,390g (3lbs) with a total length of about 11 inches (278mm). This lens eliminates the need for a monopod, providing superior optical performance and portability.

Let’s look at some key features of the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S:

• Chromatic aberration significantly reduced with PF and ED glass elements.

• Adoption of Nano Crystal Coat for effective reduction of ghost and flare.

• Equipped with Normal VR mode (5.5stop stabilization) and Sport VR mode for continuous shooting.

• Synchro VR function achieves up to 6.0-stop stabilization when paired with a compatible body.

• Stepping motor (STM) ensures fast and quiet autofocusing.

• Dust- and drip-resistant with excellent anti-fouling performance through fluorine coat.

• Four customizable lens buttons and memory recall function for instant focus position recall.

• Designed with video recording
