Shortly before Printworks London closed for redevelopment, we had the chance to use some of the nightclub’s distinctive spaces as photo backdrops, during a ‘Nikon is the Future’ promotional event.
Of the many setups laid on, this one had a space-age theme, with model Venus posing in front of a neon light tunnel. It’s a striking setting but there are a few technical challenges: underexpose by too much and the neon lights will lose some of their punch, while the model needs to be lifted from the background with a level of flash that won’t take too much away from the neon tubes.
