June 21, 2025

Plans to build a new road across green belt land into a quarry have been withdrawn.

The owners of Hawksworth Quarry had said the proposed access road would ease traffic congestion around the site near Guiseley.

Planning permission was sought from Leeds City Council for a new highway from the east side of the Odda Lane quarry to Hawksworth Lane.
