Ludhiana: CT University terminates VC after protests by Kashmiri students

CT University in Ludhiana has terminated the services of its Vice Chancellor, Dr Nitin Tandon, after a massive protest by Kashmiri students erupted on campus.
The unrest began when Muslim students from Jammu and Kashmir alleged they were being denied proper food during ‘Sehri' and ‘Iftari' in the ongoing month of Ramadan.
The students claimed that despite repeated requests to the mess management, their dietary needs were ignored, leading to widespread resentment among those observing fast.
