CROWDS gathered for an annual 'grisly' folk tradition at a Devon village.

The Hunting of the Earl of Rone is the quirky custom with pagan roots, which takes place at Combe Martin, North Devon.
The village's unique event saw a serious of processions beginning on Friday evening and culminating with a parade with big crowds over the four days of the Bank Holiday weekend.
