Tinners know they need a victory

TRURO City will be looking to right the wrongs of the previous week as they go in search of just their second National League win of the season when Morecambe make the long trip down to the South West today.

Manager John Askey praised the players’ attitude and effort in the Tinners’ 1-0 loss to Brackley in midweek, and despite it being another defeat, the team can take positives into the upcoming games.

He later added that, despite the effort and commitment his players showed, there was a lack of conviction in the final third to cause the home side any sort of problem.

“You couldn't have asked any more of the players (against Brackley,)” he said. “We played some really good football up until the final third and just didn’t have enough in that area to cause them any problems”
