I WILL never forget the first time I saw Terence Stamp. It was when he made his film debut playing the title role in Billy Budd, the “handsome sailor” who strikes and inadvertently kills his Master-at-arms.
I must have been a very young teenager, but I knew he was waaaay beyond handsome. As far as I was concerned, he was one of, if not 'the', most beautiful men I had ever seen. Those brilliant blue eyes, that tousled blonde hair, those cheekbones you could slice cheese on.
