Gladiators are at full strength as they aim to tame the Bears

AFTER the disappointment of their KO Cup exit at the hands of their great nemesis Poole Pirates, all focus turns to the Championship for the Plymouth Gladiators, with that the only competition in which they can win silverware.

Despite a thrilling eight-point win against the Pirates in the first leg at the Coliseum, the Gladiators saw their hopes of progress dashed as they lost the second leg 52-28 at Wimborne Road to exit the competition. And having already bowed out of the BSN Series, the bread and butter of league action and a crack at making the play-offs is all they have left to ride for this summer.

Tonight. Redcar Bears head to the Coliseum with Plymouth looking to get back to winning ways and claiming a second win in the Championship having lost to an impressive Glasgow Tigers in their first meeting and beaten Edinburgh Monarchs in their most recent league encounter.
