Racecourse cauldron will test the Swans' emotions, says Matos

Wrexham in December

(tes)

Matos admits tonight's clash with Wrexham is likely to carry added significance for Swansea City, and says his players will need to ensure they handle the emotion of the occasion at the Cae Ras.The Swans head to north Wales five points adrift of Phil Parkinson’s men, who currently occupy the last of the Championship's four playoff spots.

After seeing their top-six ambitions slide in recent weeks, back-to-back wins has brought the Swans on the cusp of contention again, although Wrexham do have the luxury of a game in hand.

Swansea emerged on top when the two sides met in December, in a game that arguably carried a derby atmosphere at the Swansea.com Stadium.
