Man sent texts threatening to 'ruin' ex with 'sexual favour' online posts
Western Mail

A WOMAN was left terrified after her ex-partner contacted her friend and left a message in which he threatened to "ruin her" by posting about her on social media.
-
He claimed he would post about the victim's "wrongdoings" and "sexual favours".
Steven Driscoll, 57, of Cardiff, had been in a relationship with his partner for six years but they had broken up in 2022. On October 21, 2023, the defendant sent a message to the victim's friend of a voice recording.
A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court heard the recording was of an argument between Driscoll and the victim, during which she accepted "various wrongdoings" alleged by the defendant.
Prosecutor Emma Harris said the victim made the admissions in order to "keep the conversation amicable", and was "upset" when she learned she'd been recorded.
